At Flynn Restaurant Group, we’re passionate about giving back. That means we believe in taking care of our own and in supporting the neighborhoods we serve.

Caring for Our Own

Taking care of our own is at the heart of our team and core to our culture. That is why in 2015, we started the Family Fund to support our team members and their families when they are faced with unexpected challenges. The Fund is entirely employee funded, with more than 65% of our team members participating.

These funds are used in a variety of situations including medical bills, financial struggles, and recently in North Carolina where several team members’ homes were flooded or destroyed during Hurricane Matthew.

The FRG Family Fund relies on contributions from our family of employees. We also happily accept donations from the community.
Contributions can be made to the FRG Family Fund by check (payable to FRG Family Fund Inc.), online credit card payment, or through payroll deduction. Payroll donation forms are available in each restaurant. Click to make an online credit card contribution through Network for Good.

Caring for Our Community

With our passion comes commitment, which is evident in our track record. In 2015, we donated more than $5 million to charitable organizations across the country. We’re always looking for new ways to meet the needs of our guests, their families, and their communities.

Our Fundraising Efforts Across the Country

There are many charitable organizations near and dear to our hearts. These are just a few examples of how we give back to our community.

  • Apple American has helped raise $4,400,000 in support of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a foundation raising awareness of childhood cancer.

  • Restaurants in Ohio, Washington, Oregon and Idaho raised over $390,000 to help make wishes come true for children through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

  • We have "made a muscle to make a difference" for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Summer Camp, recently raising over $1,400,000.

  • Apple American Group restaurants in Southern and Northern California, and our New England market, support the Special Olympics every year, donating over $525,000.

  • Our restaurants worked with their local schools, clubs and charities to raise more than $11,200,000 million through Flapjack Fundraisers.

There are several ways to partner with us, including Dining to Donate events, which provide an opportunity for eligible non-profit groups to earn a percent of food purchases, and Flapjack Fundraisers, which are pancake breakfasts hosted at Applebee’s.
