Prospective team members do not have to be looking for a career when they join Flynn, but we feel it is important that we provide those who are with opportunities to grow with us. Because of our size and growth, we have hundreds of management positions that open every year and have a clear preference for internal promotes – in fact, most of our senior operators once held hourly positions in our restaurants.
We understand that everyone’s situation is unique. Whether people are looking for part-time work or a long-term career path, we’re willing to work with them to get the hours and schedule they need to meet their financial goals and balance their family obligations.
We wholly believe that one of our most important roles is to support our team members and our community.
That’s why in 2015, we started the Family Fund, which is an entirely employee-funded non-profit used to help our employees in times of need. In our first year, we had greater than 85% participation leading to more than 2,052 grants totaling $2,730,602.
We also take community involvement seriously and actively seek opportunities to make a real difference. In 2018, we donated more than $5 million to community charities, like the Special Olympics and Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
